seed conference 2020

The ISF World Seed Congress is the ISF flagship event which brings together the principal architects and decision makers of the global seed industry.

Visit ISF Virtual Congress website When innovation, community and connection are more important than ever, we continue to find ways to keep the discussion going in these extraordinary times. Today seed is widely recognized as an essential good and a key element in food production. More than ever we should work together to build sustainable food systems post COVID-19. Together, we can go forward.

Businesses are working under new rules. The landscape will forever be changed: from government and the economy, to food systems, healthcare, and how we do things. It cannot be business as usual.

The International Seed Federation (ISF), as the voice of the private seed sector, continues to engage in an inventive way on topics that remain important, if not even more critical, now: innovation, sustainable agriculture, and the movement of seed. Our goal is to bring together the global seed industry for an ISF Virtual Congress, hosted by ISF and powered by Seed World.

There’s no cost to register, and you can take advantage of the experience to connect with and hear from top-tier leaders and subject-matter experts in a three-day virtual event open to all. This is our way to keep the dialogue alive and to pave the path to deeper engagement.

The ISF Virtual Congress 2020 was held virtually on 8-10 June.

To replay the virtual panel discussions, please visit the playlist on ISF’s YouTube channel.

Australasian Seed Science Conference new dates confirmed 5 – 9 September 2021

On behalf of the Organising and Scientific Committees, we regret to inform you that the Australasian Seed Science Conference 2020 will be postponed until 5 – 9 September 2021 as a result of the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 virus. We apologise for the short notice. We have moved as quickly as possible given the rapid escalation and changes regarding the virus and travel related bans being imposed globally and domestically.

Both the Organising and Scientific Committees and the Australian National Botanic Gardens, as host of the conference, have not taken this decision lightly. We want to ensure that we do not put the health of delegates at increased risk as a result of conference-related travel. We also want to ensure that we can deliver a conference that best reflects the breadth and variety of seed science that colleagues around the world are delivering.

Accommodation: If you have booked accommodation for the conference we suggest you contact your hotel directly to cancel and make other arrangements.

The Organising and Scientific Committees would like to extend our appreciation to those who have contributed abstracts and time to developing the conference program. We are disappointed that we will not have the fortune of experiencing it with you this April and hope that we can revisit a revised program together in September 2021.

In the meantime, if you have any queries please contact the conference organisers at [email protected]
