About this Hybrid Strain

When you pay close attention to Jimi Hendrix’s lyrics from the 1967 classic Purple Haze, it’s very possible he was talking about this cannabis strain. Named after the array of purples a nicely cultivated batch conjures up, Purple Haze is a strain that both novice and veteran consumers can indulge in as it’s been around since the 60’s. The question is – was the strain named after the song or the song named after the strain?

The parent strains of Purple Haze are both sativa, Haze and Purple Thai.

With THC levels usually ranging in the low teens, Purple Haze might be a good strain to try for beginners since modern strains tend to jump up in the 20’s with THC levels. It’s popular because of the high it tends to create, often leaving reviewers claiming it increases energy, creativity, and appetite which are effects that many recreational consumers tend to enjoy, especially at a social level. Fans of this strain like to delve into their hobbies such as painting, song-writing, or any other creative outlet that keeps the mind busy and imaginative. Though it wouldn’t hurt to have some snacks nearby when trying this strain as well, since many reviewers report having the munchies. A warm body buzz has also been tied to this strain as a common effect felt by its fans, relieving mild aches in the body and bringing relaxation to muscles. Cotton mouth and dry eyes have been reported to be the most common negative side-effects of this strain, though paranoia may surface if consumed improperly.

If your curious about its scent and flavor, Purple Haze has a sweet and earthy aroma that often carries spicy and berry-like undertones. Purple Haze is only meant for patient growers, taking anywhere from 16 to 20 weeks to flower.

Purple haze #44 strain

It can be hard to find this strain now but it’s a classic for sure. With the right curing the purple haze flowers should be mostly Mid to dark purple with some green still running through them. The taste is earthy and spicy with a hint of berry and grape. The effects are amazing for sativa lovers like me. It produces a nice energetic euphoria in the mind and a slight body buzz. If you can find it I definitely recommend it. Taste it gets 4.5 out of 5 from me and effects it’s a 4.5 out of 5

This is one great smoke.Leans more toward the sativa effects just as described, but all around excellent high no matter what your looking for in a top shelf smoke. this strain has it !! I’ll grab this whenever it’s available !

My favorite strain of all time. Purple Haze is legendary and I’m lucky enough to be able to get it regularly in a non legal state. It’s not quite as strong as other strains, usually around 18-20%, but the high is incredible. The taste is as well, I’d describe it as berry flavored with slight spice/earthy undertones, very smooth. It kind of tastes like it looks! I’m not the artsy type but if you are, this is a must try for you. It gives a great cerebral buzz that does not “cloud” your mind at all, allowing you to really focus and get stuff done. It brings out creativity and for introverts like myself, very much relieves anxiety in social settings! Smoke a bowl of this and the next thing you know you’re taking over group conversations. lol

Excellent. It’s definitely an other worldly colorful high. Smoked it 4 days in a row several years back .. & I can’t wait to smoke it again someday. Probably the best marijuana that ive ever smoked all around in my book.😈 Purple Haze ftw!

Popularized by Jimi Hendrix s 1967 classic, Purple Haze delivers a dreamy burst of euphoria that brings veteran consumers back to their psychedelic heyday. This nostalgic sativa staple remains cherished for its high energy cerebral stimulation that awakens creativity and blissful contentment throughout the day. Purple Haze is believed to have descended from parent strains Purple Thai and Haze, which pass on a mix of sweet and earthy flavors underscored by notes of berry and sharp spice . Purple Haze buds typically acquire vibrant hues of lavender that further justify the naming of this strain.
